Jake Thornock

John W. & Nancy S. Hardy Chaired Professor of Accounting · BYU Marriott

About

Jake Thornock studies information intermediaries, investor attention, disclosure, and corporate taxation. His research asks how information flows to and through capital markets — via the internet, social media, financial statement users, and short sellers — and how firms and investors respond. A second stream examines the determinants and real effects of corporate tax avoidance.
